If your company could benefit from a command center or if the one it already has is now outdated, you have a lot to consider. Continue reading for some of the options for your center.
Firs there are the operations center consoles. Obviously no command center will get very far without consoles that are able to help each staff member do their job. Consider how many each staffer will need and try to stick to that number. This way every employee has the hardware they need to get their job done but you avoid needless clutter. A command center that has clutter cannot run effectively.
Consider the options you now have for command center furniture, as well. This might seem like a simple thing, but consider how many hours your employees will be spending sitting down in your command center. So consider chairs with ergonomic designs that will go easy on their backs so they can stay focused.
You’ll also need to consider the actual layout of your command center as well. Obviously, you’ll want everyone to be forward facing so they’re able to concentrate on the screens upfront (another consideration: how many screens do you need?). But depending on the tasks you’ll be focusing on, one side of the room may need to be heavier with personnel while the other has a greater concentration of hardware.
Command centers are far too important to be decided on arbitrarily. Consider the above and take your time making yours a reality.
